![]() ![]() | ![]() By bringing diverse not-for-profit organizations together in a collaborative network dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children and youth in The purpose of National Alliance of Children and Youth is to promote the health and well-being of children and youth in a. Facilitating the active participation and collaboration of its Members and others in the development of consensus on policies, programs and practices that improve outcomes for children and youth;
b. Promoting public awareness and understanding on issues relating to the health and well-being of children and youth;
c. Providing public education regarding children, youth, and families;
d. Conducting and disseminating research into trends and issues affecting children, youth and families;
e. Developing, encouraging, and improving opportunities for national and international skill development and knowledge transfer among individuals, organizations, and groups in support of children and youth;
f. Developing and promoting a public policy agenda in support of these objects.
To carry out these objects, NACY seeks funding from a variety of sources including governments, foundations, corporations, individuals, and members. NACY is governed by a Board of Directors elected by its Member organizations, and works collaboratively with its members through initiatives which take advantage of this broad-based coalition to address specific issues affecting children and youth. Participation in the work and initiatives of NACY will not be limited to corporate members, and other interested organizations will be encouraged to continue to participate in the “network” activities that have proven so successful in the past. |
